Commentaire (sharh)

A pure tashbeeh (simile): the drowsy, half-open eyes of the beloved hold the whole intoxication of wine. The comparison word sii ('like') makes it a simile rather than a metaphor. Mir's takhallus opens the line, which marks the maqta.
