For universities and libraries

Urdu literature, open to your campus.

Give students and faculty campus-wide access to Urdu originals with translations in all six official UN languages. One institutional partnership can support reading, teaching and research across your university.

Most translations here are made with AI and have not yet been reviewed by a scholar. Each book's page says whether its translation has been reviewed.

A resource for the whole campus

Literature to read, teach and study.

Make Urdu writing available to more readers with a shared point of access across languages, disciplines and levels of study.

Read across six languages

Explore Urdu originals alongside translations in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

Bring readings into courses

Link directly to licensed works from library guides, reading lists and your learning management system.

Download for study

PDF downloads are included for individual academic use under the campus license.

How access works

Nothing to install. Two ways in.

1

You subscribe

Tell us your institution and its email domains (for example lums.edu.pk). We invoice once a year and switch access on the same day.

2

Readers sign in

Anyone who creates a free account with an email at your domain is recognised automatically: every chapter, every language, the audio and the PDF allowance open at once.

3

Or use the code

Where students have no institutional email, your library gets an access code to share. A reader enters it once on their account page.

Annual licence

Simple yearly pricing.

One fee a year, invoiced to the institution and payable by bank transfer; no per-user charges. The first semester is free for any department that wants to try the collection in a course.

Clear terms

An academic offer that respects the work.

The licence covers the whole collection, including every book added during the year, in all its languages and scripts, with audio. Authors are paid their share from licence income.

Course links are welcome. Uploading or redistributing PDF copies in course packs requires separate permission.

What campus access includes

  • Campus-wide access for students and faculty to the licensed collection.
  • PDF downloads included for individual study and research.
  • Links to licensed works may be shared in course pages and reading lists.
  • Uploading PDF copies to course spaces or distributing course packs requires separate permission.

For librarians

We send an invoice and a licence letter, set up your email domains and access code the same day, and provide a usage summary (active readers, chapters read) before renewal. Access is by account, so it works off campus too.
