Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details if you create an account: your email address, a password (stored only in encrypted form), and the name you choose to give.
• Reading data for signed-in readers: your bookmarks and your reading preferences (script, type size, language view). Preferences are kept on your own device.
• Membership status if you connect a Patreon account: your Patreon user id and whether your pledge to our tier is active. We never see your payment details; Patreon handles payment.
• Messages you send through the contact, book-request or translation-services forms: your name, email and the message itself.
• Technical data that any website receives: your IP address and browser type, kept briefly in server logs by our hosting providers.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We do not show advertising and do not use advertising trackers.
• The app asks for no special permissions: no location, contacts, camera or microphone.

Who stores it

Accounts, bookmarks and messages are stored with Supabase (database hosting). The website runs on Vercel. Chapter narration is produced with Microsoft Azure speech services from the chapter text only; nothing about you is sent to Microsoft. Membership is verified with Patreon. Each provider keeps data only as needed to run the service.

Your choices

• You can read all free chapters without an account.
• You can disconnect Patreon at any time from your Account page.
• To delete your account and everything linked to it, email us and we will remove it within a few days.

Children

The website and app are for general readers and are not directed at children under 13.
