• گھر میں تھا کیا کہ ترا غم اسے غارت کرتاWhat was in the house, that your grief should plunder it?
• تا ہم کو شکایت کی بھی باقی نہ رہے جاSo that we have nothing left even to complain of,
• اس شمع کی طرح سے جس کو کوئی بجھائےLike that candle which someone snuffs,
• وہ سبزہ زار ہائے مطرا کہ ہے غضبThose fragrant green meadows, how marvellous!
