Eighteen ghazals by Shah Abdul Aleem Aasi Ghazipuri (d. 1917), Sufi master of Ghazipur, whose pen name means "the sinner": all his poems on Urdu Wikisource. In the classical Lucknow manner, the tavern, the cupbearer and the cruel beloved carry a Sufi meaning: God's glory in everything, and the passing away of the self before union.
