O mothers, sisters, daughters! The grace of the world is from you.
The lands are peopled by you; the honour of nations is from you.
اے ماؤ، بہنو، بیٹیو! دنیا کی زینت تم سے ہےملکوں کی بستی ہو تمہیں، قوموں کی عزت تم سے ہے
You are the princesses of the home, the life of the cities,
the gladness of grieving hearts; in sorrow and in joy, comfort is from you.
تم گھر کی ہو شہزادیاں، شہروں کی ہو آبادیاںغمگین دلوں کی شادیاں، دکھ سکھ میں راحت تم سے ہے
Where you are, the homeland has honour; without you the garden is a waste.
At home or in exile, the sweetness of living is from you.
تم ہو تو عزت ہے وطن، تم بن ہے ویرانہ چمنہو دیس یا پردیس، جینے کی حلاوت تم سے ہے
You are the picture of goodness, the very design of chastity;
you are the guardians of faith; that faith is safe is from you.
نیکی کی تم تصویر ہو، عفت کی تم تدبیر ہوہو دین کی تم پاسباں، ایماں سلامت تم سے ہے
Modesty is your nature; kindness and loyalty are in your making;
patience and acceptance came with your first milk; that man worships at all is from you.
فطرت تمہاری ہے حیا، طینت میں ہے مہر و وفاگھٹی میں ہے صبر و رضا، انساں عبادت تم سے ہے
The men who once had virtue let it slip long ago;
O faithful ones, whatever virtue is left in the world is from you.
مردوں میں ست والے تھے جو، ست اپنا کب بیٹھے کھودنیا میں اے ستونتیو! لے دے کے اب ست تم سے ہے
You are the companions of husbands, the comforters of sons;
without you every house is desolate; the blessing in the house is from you.
مونس ہو خاوندوں کی تم، غمخوار فرزندوں کی تمتم بن ہے گھر ویران سب، گھر بھر میں برکت تم سے ہے
You are the hope of the sick, the solace of the helpless,
the wealth of the poor; delight in hardship is from you.
تم آس ہو بیمار کی، ڈھارس ہو تم بیکار کیدولت ہو تم نادار کی، عسرت میں عشرت تم سے ہے
Often you came into the world unasked for, when you came;
yet by your charm you spread over the whole house.
آئی ہو اکثر بے طلب، دنیا میں جب آئی ہو تمپر موہنی سے اپنی یاں، گھر بھر پہ چھا جاتی ہو تم
